Online games will improve your eyesight!

Many of us would say that our eyesight is getting worse from playing games on computer. But researches show something oposite. Optometrists from the University of California at Berkeley has performed pilot studies  which has shown that games (video games, online browser games, skill games) can improve visual acuity anddepth perception in adults with amblyopia, which is also known as lazy eye. It is a disorder of the visual system that is characterized by a vision deficiency in an eye that is otherwise physically normal, or out of proportion to associated structural abnormalities of the eye. Americans have demonstrated that it takes only 40 hours of training to deal with blurred vision.

Americans have tested two types of games: 1) action games, where they had to shoot a goal and 2) the economic game, consisting of building something. In study took part 20 patients with amblyopia at the age of 15 to 61 years. In the first experiment, 10 people for 40 hours played in the shooting. In the second experiment, three other respondents spent as much time on playing other kind of game. At the time of the session everyone had covered healthy eye.
In both experiments, was reported a 30 percent improvement in visual acuity, which is comparable to the shift of  1.5 on Snellen’s board. Americans insist that in case of child  visual acuity improved by 1,5, were needed 120 hours welding of healthy eye. Vision was tested after every 10 hours of play. Some people started to see better even before than 40 hours.
In another case, studies by researchers at the University of Rochester have shown that games like “shooter” like Unreal Tournament, have positive effect on the brain’s processing of visual signals.
It turns out that people who spent at these online games several hours a day, are about 20% better at identifying visual stimuli.
